I never said there was an issue since each townhouse

has 2 reserved spots perpendicular to the road. I use one spot and the landlord uses the other. If a townhouse needs more than 2 parking spaces, then there are places to park (parallel or perpendicular) on the main road within the community.

The joke behind the post was a play on words since the community has a lot of busy bodies. I am assuming that because for most of the townhouses in the community (approx. 100 or so) only 1 person works. At least if you cruise through the community on any given day of the week, then you will see majority of the townhouses have at least 1 vehicle (sometimes 2 vehicles) in their reserved parking spaces when you typically people are at work. So the play on words has to do with the "no standing at any time." I seriously doubt many of these busy bodies know that if a person has their vehicle in drive and their foot on the break, then that is considered "standing in your vehicle."

FWIW as I was walking to my car to go to work I had a neighbor ask me if I noticed the new signs. I told her that I did and I thought it was funny they were 5x the size of the previous signs given how I have only seen the mail carrier blocked 2 or 3 times from delivering the mail my entire time living there (at least 10 years now). She then ask me "How am I supposed to get my mail now if I can't stand in front of my mailbox anymore?" So I had to explain to her what "standing" meant in that context. The only times I have seen the mail boxes blocked was when someone moved out of a townhouse, someone else moved into the same townhouse, and a large truck was delivering furniture to a townhouse below me. In all 3 cases the truck was large enough to take up the entire road, so no one could get in or out until the truck left.

Kinda silly to remove a sign about the size of the laptop and replace it with a sign about the size of Yield or Stop sign. Don't you think?
